I'm often quite bored on train rides. But it is one of the occasions where I am surrounded by a lot of unfamiliar people, and it gets me thinking about strange things. Sometimes I wonder about the lives of each of the people on the train, and how amazing life must be that there are stories far more rich and varied like mine held in each of their lives. And more than that, so many thoughts, feelings, memories..when one realizes this, the feeling is something else! Sometimes, I muse about what it must be like to be one of them. As in, not me. I think about how they have a life just like me, and wonder what sorts of things will happen to them later that day. And I also think about the little things - are they feeling cold right now? Do they enjoy a warm cup of tea on a cold afternoon? What are their favourite movies and books? It's always the little things that are the most interesting.

Sometimes, I also think about one of my obsessions, namely music. I think about what the odds are that anyone on train has heard (of) Trout Mask Replica (I haven't heard it, but I sure have heard of it), or Cats Under The Stars, and so on and so forth. I have no idea what compells me to do this - probably boredom.

ditto, except replacing the word train with the word bus.

I think that's also how I felt when I read your blog for the first time. you had posted about your info assignment from last semester, and I remembered the first time I met you, you had the assignment with you.

I wondered then about you in the same way you wondered about the people on the train, and when I read your blog entry I felt like I was able to find out. cool eh? :D:D:D:D

I think it's quite wonderful that the world is like this; if one wanted to they could alter the course of their life by mixing it with another person's, and perhaps even to the extent that they form a very deep connection with them, etc.

although admitedly I wouldn't try forming a deep and meaningful connection with john howard. oh dear.

I rarely think about these sorts of things outside the train. Everywhere else, it's life as normal it would seem.

I wonder what your first impressions of me were when you read this blog. No doubt, as Mr. Smith put it, you must have thought me "very weird" :( I think it's funny how wrong first impressions can be sometimes. It all comes back to the masks, I tells ya! You never know when you're getting the real person and when you're getting the mask. Even the seemingly most vapid person can be profoundly deep and remarkable in his/her own right.

Actually, I believe that's called stalking and invasion of privacy :p

Yeah, life is remarkable, ain't it? I think that one life can be so mind-blowing amazing, and so when you put two lives together, the possibilites are endless! I'm probably too idealistic though.

Your "oh dear" is ever so charming, by the way :)

o.o I think I think I think too much.

my first impression of you was that you were depressed.

mask/seem seem to be favourite words of yours :D I once said seem so often in a english assignment that my teacher complained that I had a weird outlook on life. ^__^'

o.o' oh yeah. but aren't blogs things people publish on the internet deliberately?

when you put two lives together, you get double the possibilities? *pause* nah, I tend to agree with your idealism.
